On Saturday 20th April at 10am, 20 local people volunteered their time to assist Dan Docker, Calderdale Councils tree and woodland Officer, to plant 500 saplings. The trees were planted on Roils Head along side the walkway between Shacks house and the playing field.
With excellent team work and a positive attitude there were 500 saplings planted, staked and covered with a rabbit protector in 2 hours! Everybody was deservedly pleased with their efforts and the sun was shining as well.
