Sure Start and our Neighbourhood Team can offer advice and support to anyone looking for work.

We can help with job searching, CV’s, Job Applications, Interview skills, Volunteering, or if you are looking at attending college or further training.  And we can signpost to agencies that provide support with many other issues.

Our NHP Work Support website promotes employment opportunities locally and if you subscribe to the site you can get notifications of jobs as they’re posted.

As well as a full programme of family learning activities we aim to offer accredited courses achieving qualifications, aiming to support parents to gain employment or a change of career e.g. Volunteering is it For You?, Food Hygiene Level 2, Beauty & Holistic courses, Helping in Schools, Practical Parent Helpers, Emergency Paediatric First Aid and Jewellrey Making (start your own business).

The ‘Real Life Futures’ course is aimed at ages 16-24 and includes qualifications to make your CV stand out like Fire Marshalling, First Aid and Manual Handling.
