At Wellholme Park Nursery, we celebrated the King’s birthday and made some beautiful cards to send to the palace. We showed the children some pictures of King Charles and Buckingham Palace. The children each had some card, paint, pens and an envelope to create their cards.
All of the cards were placed in one large envelope with an accompanying letter, which was then hand-delivered to the palace. Fingers crossed we will receive a response for the children.
To further support the children’s interests, we made some ‘mini birthday cakes’ and the children sang ‘happy birthday .’
This was a really lovely learning experience for everyone involved.
