On Thursday, 4th December, we held our annual volunteers’ end of year celebration. This year we got to utilise one of our wonderful Family Hubs and held the party at Jubilee Family Hub.
We had some brilliant staff available on the night, who created some fabulous activities for the children, including making party hats, festive cards and other lovely crafts. They also set up their wonderful sensory room, for those who wanted or needed to access.
There were festive tunes playing all night, as we enjoyed some delicious curry, chapattis, rice and other treats, from a local Halifax business, Ittefaq Catering, finished off with chocolates and mince pies!
We had such a wide group of volunteers at the evening, from being a voice at the end of the phone as a Telephone Befriender, supporting staff as a Family Hubs volunteer, being a part of a funding panel, representing local parents and families as a Parent Champion, being a part of the Board for North Halifax Partnership, or one of the other many volunteering opportunities!
We had another brilliant celebration, where our wider volunteer groups could come together, and be celebrated for all the wonderful work they do throughout the year – thank you so much to you all!
