What a day!
The official launch of the Mixenden Activity Centre (MAC) was a huge success – and we couldn’t be happier with how the community came together to celebrate.
From the moment the doors opened on Saturday, 30th August, the building was buzzing with energy. Families, friends, and neighbours came along to explore the space, meet the team, and enjoy a day filled with great vibes, fun activities, and plenty of cake.
One of the best parts of the day was the amazing response from local people. So many of you took the time to share your ideas, sign up to get involved, and show your support for MAC. We came away with lots of new contacts and connections that will help shape the future of the building.

The launch also opened up new opportunities for partnership working, with organisations across Calderdale interested in using the space for events, activities and support groups.
