Apprentice Early Years Practitioner

Are you enthusiastic about developing a career in Early Years and willing to learn while supporting young children’s learning and development? 

During the apprenticeship, you will complete the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard, which includes: 

  • Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT, where applicable 
  • An End-Point Assessment (EPA) 
  • Dedicated study time within your working hours 
  • Duties and Responsibilities 

As an apprentice Early Years Practitioner, you will be expected to: 

  • Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children attending the nursery. 
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to create a positive, structured and enabling environment. 
  • Ensure children are respected and treated as individuals, supporting their play, development and learning. 
  • Work in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework and other relevant legislation. 

Desired Qualifications: Applicants should ideally have: 

GCSEs in English and maths at grades A-C/9-4*, or equivalent. 

The role is 37 hours per week, including study time. Working hours will be discussed and agreed at the interview or offer stage.
