Over the past few months, our Parent Champions have been incredibly busy getting involved in all sorts of activities! Following the merger of the former NHP and HOTs Parent Champions, we’re gradually bringing everyone together to create a much larger and more cohesive group of parent carer volunteers supporting families across Calderdale.
Our volunteers have been getting involved in a wide range of opportunities, including supporting activities in the Family Hubs, taking part in funding panels, supporting recruitment, attending Family Hub Network meetings, and much more!
We also recently enjoyed our Volunteer Summer Party – a fantastic community event that brought together people involved in NHP’s various volunteering opportunities. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate our volunteers, connect with one another and share the amazing work happening across our community.
Training Courses
We’ve also got the next round of our volunteering training courses coming up after the summer holidays.
Our next two-part course will take place on 17th and 24th November 2026 from 10.30am–12.30pm, at Todmorden Family Hub.
