A Magical Evening at Shroggs Park Lantern Walk!

On December 11th 2024, we had an incredible turnout at the Shroggs Park Free Lantern Walk, co-organised with the wonderful Friends of Shroggs Park group.

Highlights of the Evening:

73 participants joined us to handcraft and design beautiful wooden lanterns at St. George’s Hall.

Delicious hot chocolate, courtesy of Newground Together, kept everyone warm and cozy.

We embarked on a magical dusk lantern walk around the park, singing carols along the way.

The evening ended with a visit to the pop-up Santa’s Grotto, where kids met Santa and received special presents!

Here’s what participants had to say about the event:

💬 “Got the children excited for Santa. Santa was really good. Kids enjoyed making their lanterns.”

💬 “Nice to have kids making something of their own and visit Santa on a walk.”

💬 “Seeing Santa, lantern making & generally all of it. Thank you!”

Thank you to everyone who joined and made this event so special! We can’t wait to see you at the next one.
