What made you want to join the NHP Board and when did you join

I joined the NHP Board in 2025 viewing this as an ideal opportunity to get more involved in supporting both my local community, and the wider Calderdale area

Whereabouts do you live

Though born and bred in Bradford I have lived in Ovenden for approaching 40 years

What is your Job / Career history

I worked for over 30 years in two of the UK’s leading Home Shopping organisations, which involved looking at ways of reducing costs in the customer returns process

I then founded and worked with others in developing a company called Greenhome recycling electrical, furniture and other household goods which would have gone to landfill. Anything recycled has been made available free of charge or at a low price to people who otherwise might not have been able to afford these things

What are your main interests

I like spending time with family and friends, reading both fact and fiction books, travelling to different places whether that be local or farther afield. I also spend time in a voluntary religious work
