You might have seen in our Friday Flyer that the Calderdale Community Spirit Awards, hosted by the Community Foundation for Calderdale, were open for nominations, and the finalists were announced last week. The awards are to celebrate those that have gone above and beyond in Calderdale in the last year.
Well, we are proud to say that *drum roll please* North Halifax Partnership has been shortlisted for not one but TWO awards.
The TWO categories that we have been shortlisted for are ‘Charity of the Year’ and ‘Great and Green’.
To be shortlisted for the ‘Great and Green’ award we needed to show that we are having a positive impact on the community and raising the profile of environmental issues. A big way that we raise awareness of environmental issues is with our Climate Champions group, organising and participating in litter picks, and so much more! We are very proud to have been shortlisted for this award as North Halifax Partnership is committed to protecting the environment for all generations.
The ’Charity of the Year’ shortlist is another proud moment for North Halifax Partnership! It might sound self-explanatory, but to be shortlisted for ‘Charity of the Year’ we needed to show we have been delivering outstanding service, as well as demonstrating excellence for the last year.
The awards ceremony is on the 23rd of November 2023, and we will be donning our fancy clothes to celebrate not only ourselves, but all the other amazing charities and volunteers in Calderdale. We will keep you posted on the outcome, but regardless, we are proud to have been shortlisted for TWO of the awards and to have all our hard work recognised by others.
